Global Learners Academy of Development [GLAD], an International Knowledge Management organization located at Korattur, Chennai, India convened the Global Women Summit on 6th March 2020 at Hotel Green Park, Chennai, India. Now more than ever, today’s most transformative minds are redefining pathways to power and taking bold ideas to the front lines to solve the most pressing challenges of our time. Across industries and generations, women are at the helm, navigating monumental change to re-architect industries, spark major movements and unlock opportunities. The 2020 Global Women Summit brought together a community of inspiring and innovative visionaries whose ambitious actions are changing the world at an unprecedented scale. Featuring Key note Address by Dr Aparna Rao the global women summit honoured a diverse range of Women luminaries from Academics, Industry, Sports, Karate and Entrepreneurship.

Special note was delivered by Dr Nadia Ibrahim Yousef Hyasat, Professor, Yarmouk University, Jordan, and Dr Aruna Anil Deoskar followed by panel discussion on “Negotiation skills – A key attribute for career women”.

Panel discussion was Chaired by Dr. Asha Deepak Bhatia, K.J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies & Research, Mumbai, The discussants were Dr. Sunitha Mathai, Econz IT Services Private Limited, Bengaluru, Ms. Ramya Ganapathy, Verizon India and Ms. Sowmya R, Verizon India. Papers were presented by research scholars on various areas related to women issues.

Post lunch the successful women luminaries from multiple discipline were awarded by Smt.Veena Kumaravel, an Indian based Woman Entrepreneur and Founder – Naturals Salon. She addressed the gathering and gave away the awards to the winners from across the globe. The event was conducted in accordance with the Women’s day 2020 and it ended with lucky draw and contests at the end. The event witnessed participants from 6 countries (Oman, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Jordan, New Mexico and Singapore). The program was telecasted in Velicham Tv and Win Tv.
